The #DigitalMarketsAct CAN level the playing field and give users back control over their data. To do so, it's necessary to regulate the market, so that the gatekeepers cannot abuse their power. For @[email protected], I explained what the #DMA can bring us. https://brusselsmorning.com/2021/04/14/now-the-digital-markets-act-is-here-could-this-be-what-tames-big-tech/

started yesterday to write a basic matrix-protocol client for the esp32, since I could not found any public library which provides this functionality. Auth and posting a (not e2e) message to a room is already working :)
Successfully setup my @[email protected] homeserver today and @[email protected]

I've been using matrix for quite some time now. Good clients for multiple platforms. Only issue is the usual: how to get people on their own self hosted node. https://twitter.com/bodil/status/1380245718485590027
It's Open Tech Will Save Us #12, live NEXT WEDNESDAY (14th) at 5pm UTC! Watch @[email protected] and friends presenting online crisis support tool using Matrix, Will Bamberg on the Open Web Docs project, and Bruno Windels developer of the Hydrogen Matrix client! https://matrix.org/open-tech-will-save-us/
As the @[email protected] network hits 30 million users, The Daily Swig caught up with co-founders @[email protected] and Matthew Hodgson (@[email protected]) to find out how the project is developing
I'm converting more and more people from other messengers to come join me on @[email protected] Clearly the best choice if you want something that's OSS + open-standards-based and federated *and* not requiring a phone number as a primary identifier (I always found that sooo dumb).
